Temperature Drop Expected In Coming Days - National Environmental Agency

ყინვა

A significant drop in air temperature is expected in Georgia on February 28 and March 1-2, the National Environmental Agency reported.

In the lowlands of Western Georgia, temperatures will fall to -5, -10 degrees, while in Eastern Georgia -7, -12 degrees. Mountainous regions may experience -13, -18 degrees, and highland areas could see extreme lows of -18, -23 degrees.

Forecasters warn of difficult meteorological conditions on Western Georgia’s roads, including ice, freezing on power lines, and avalanche risk in highland zones. Traffic restrictions may be imposed on certain highways due to poor visibility, snowstorms, and ice. The temperature drop on the Kolkheti Plain could also damage citrus crops.
