Tbilisi's budget performance rate totals to 95% for 2023. The revenue exceeds the indicator by GEL 100 million, - the Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, announced this at the first government meeting of the year.
According to Kaladze, the budget for 2024 has also increased.
"2023 was quite successfully closed, which means that the implementation of the budget is up to 95%. As for the revenue part, its performance exceeded the indicator by GEL 100 million. Some funds, transferred from the last year, are fully reflected in the current year's budget.
Based on everything, the 2024 budget, which was approved in the amount of GEL 1,763,000,000, will become GEL 1,963,000,000, which will allow us to implement more important and successful projects for the city. I promise you that 2024 will be even more impressive," Kaladze said.
According to him, shortly, the population will learn what the additional resources will be spent on and which events are important for the city.
"The capital has never had such a budget. As for additional resources, we will provide more detailed information to the public later," said Kakha Kaladze.
