During the last decades, one of the most successful harvesting was held in 2018 – the highest index and without state subsidies. He spoke about the programs by the agency: Harvest Supportive Measures; Viticulture Development Measures; Wine Laboratory Examination; Promotion of Georgian Vine Origin; Promotion of Georgian Wine.
The programs resulted in increase of wine expert with 12% compared to 2017 and the amount increased with 20% gained through wine export. The Agency aims at high quality and high price of Georgian wine as the average price wine is already in the opt 5 of the world. In 2018, the Agency will update the legislative-normative documents deriving from the legal changes to the law on Vine and Wine in 2017.
“We have held the vast works resulting in higher export of Georgian wine. I hope that remaining two months will be more productive and the Agency will achieve of wider results. Bright future belongs to Georgian wine in our country as the state at high extent facilitates the farmers to gaining the production of higher quality”, - I. Shiolashivli noted.
