Tamaz Daushvili, CEO of company DIO said while summing up 2024, that the current year started well for the company and Dio was able to fulfill its annual plan. However, it is difficult to draw up a future plan against the backdrop of the current political situation.
"2024 started well and was going well, if we do not consider the last two months. Events developed after the elections, of course, played a negative role. Ultimately, our company still achieved its goals, but this was accompanied by the current tension and political situation throughout the year, especially since April.
Unfortunately, we do not know how much these positive, good results that we have this year will continue next year and how much we will be able to make certain predictions or plan positively. We are observing how the processes will contiune, because as in all matters, proper planning is very important in business," says Tamaz Daushvili.
The CEO of Dio explains that the company will work on the 2025 plan from the beginning of next year, however, based on the profile, Dio's sales depend on seasonality and it is expected that the beginning of the year will be particularly passive.
"There is no plan for 2025. As a rule, we work on this plan from the end of December, mainly in January, and it takes its final form in January. Now the only plan is how to manage to be financially sound throughout the year and be able to pay off all planned salary obligations within two months, at least, because there will be expenses and it is important that the income is sufficient.
As a rule, we depend on the season, January and February are less active months for our field, but this year there is an expectation that these months will be especially passive. There is great uncertainty in business and people are refraining from spending, this was already noticeable from the second half of December. If this trend continues next year, the coming months will be very difficult and, in my opinion, very critical for the economy of our country", - says Daushvili.
