The Committee discussed for the I reading the Draft Law on Public Internal Financial Control.
“The amendments to the Law are conditioned with the necessity of harmonization of the internal audit framework with the international practice. The internal audit is one of the key directions of the public internal financial control reform in the public sector, which is envisaged under the Association Agreement”, - Deputy Finance Minister, Mikheil Dundua noted.
According to the reporter, the amendments, to the most extent, concern the internal audit regulations. At that, the Draft ensures the elimination of the room for the different interpretations related to the law regulation sphere, and creates the legal base to govern the general and thesis issues associated with the certification of the internal auditors, determining the uninterrupted professional development of the internal auditors etc.
The Committee endorsed the Draft.
