The Caucasus Medical Centre (CMC) received the Gold Standard of the highest international healthcare accreditation institution and became the first multi-profile referral hospital in the country to be accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI).
During the preparation for the process of accreditation, within a span of 18 months, the hospital implemented under 1 200 standards in accordance with the International Patient Safety Goals. The following dimensions were assessed by a team of Joint Commission reviewer experts in a multifaceted manner: healthcare and safety of patients, quality and effectiveness of ambulatory, ER and in-patient medical care, nursing care, protection of rights and confidentiality of information of patients and their family members, infection control and prevention mechanisms, quality of strategic management of the hospital, competence of medical personnel, continuous nature of education and development, reliability, precision and safety of diagnostic technologies, hospital infrastructure, continuous processes of improvement of medical services.
According to the conclusion of the JCI committee, the hospital functions in full compliance with the highest standards of medical services in compliance with the International Patient Safety Goals.
The Caucasus Medical Centre joined the sizable family of internationally accredited hospitals, which unites leading medical centers of the world; among them are the following internationally acclaimed institutions such as: the Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, Acibadem and John Hopkins Hospitals.
