The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili notes, the government plans to reach an agreement with the investor company of Nenskra HPP by the end of the year.
After the government meeting, Davitashvili also talked about the meeting held between the representatives of K-Water and the Prime Minister of Georgia.
"The Korean state-owned company K-Water is selected, and the government is ready to support them if the company is ready to implement the project and deliver real results within a new time frame. We gave the company another chance and started the process of negotiations from the beginning of the year, we also updated the terms", Davitashvili said.
According to him, they agreed to continue the meetings, because the state company either agrees on updated conditions or ends the contract.
"It should be very clearly defined that if the company fails to fulfill the conditions, in this case, we will start the process of terminating the contract. We are willing to continue working and implementing the project, but the company must be ready. We have to agree before the end of the year, because next year we won't have more time, as the project should be implemented next year", Davitashvili said.
