According to the Deputy Minister of Health Tamar Gabunia, the death rate of people infected with the coronavirus as of the 19th of august is alarming.
"The highest rate of deaths from the coronavirus has been recorded - 58 cases, which is naturally alarming and once again indicates the importance of taking preventive measures," Gabunia said.
4,921 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the last 24 hours. 4,471 people recovered and 58 died.
