The economy can collapse in a few hours. Therefore, we must be very careful, - businessman Lasha Papashvili said after the end of the conference of the BAG.
According to him, the reason for the sanctions is a much deeper and global political process than the "Russian law" adopted by the authorities.
"We do not see that the country is moving towards Russia, even with that [Russian] law.
This [reaction to the Russian law] is a cause, not a reason. Deep political processes are the reason", said the businessman.
According to him, this process has a very bad impact on the business and investment environment.
"Have we already seen how it was reflected 3 months ago? In a few days, the devaluation of GEL was 15%. It is reflected very hard. The economy may collapse in a few hours. Therefore, we must be very careful," says Papashvili.
When asked by bm.ge what is his appeal to the authorities, the businessman says that the authorities must act.
"They must act. When someone sanctions you and you are at a dead end, you have to do everything you can to avoid being sanctioned," said Papashvili.
