The Committee organized the working meeting to discuss the action plan developed by the Education Ministry in view of improvement of security in schools.
The plan is developed on the basis of the information obtained within the project “listen to the children”, the statistic data and international experience.
According to the Chair, Mariam Jashi, it is the second working meeting on this issue. “A week ago we discussed the vision and strategy of the Ministry developed on the basis of questioning of 65 000 children. Today, we discuss the action plan for 2018. It provides the certain events for 2018 supported by the Ministry aiming at public awareness of the pedagogues, children, school administration and parents on violence prevention and management; enhancement of the psychological and supervisory services in schools; intensification of sports and arts activities in schools”, - she noted.
MPs, Public Defender Office, international organizations and NGOs for education and healthcare sphere offered the additional recommendations to the Ministry.
