Armenia and the European Union continue their dialogue on visa liberalization. This was highlighted following a meeting between Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Johannes Luchner, Deputy Director-General of the European Commission for Migration and Home Affairs, on December 11.
The meeting, which also included the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, focused on the potential benefits of simplifying the visa regime for various economic sectors and enhancing citizens' mobility.
Deputy Prime Minister Grigoryan emphasized the importance of fully implementing the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Armenia and the EU. He also outlined the reforms Armenia has undertaken and plans to execute in key areas.
Discussions further addressed topics such as social protection, healthcare, education, and border management. These areas are critical components of the visa liberalization process with the EU, according to the official statement.
