The Eurasian Development Bank Intends to Invest Around $500 Million in Armenia Over the Next 3 Years

Denis Ilyin, Senior Managing Director of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), announced that the bank plans to invest around $500 million in Armenia over the next three years. According to him, annual investments of $150-180 million are a realistic and achievable target.

Among the projects under consideration for investment in Armenia is a program to increase the production capacity of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine. Additionally, there is a project for the construction of the World Trade Centre, for which an official application from the company "Renshin" is expected in the second half of the year.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia has approached the EDB for financing the modernization of the nuclear power plant. The bank has expressed its readiness to support this project and is awaiting a decision from the Armenian side.
