The first supercomputer center in Armenia has opened in Yerevan's "Engineering City." It was created by the French company Atos, one of the world's largest manufacturers of high-performance computers.
The supercomputer is equipped with 26,000 high-performance processors, which significantly surpasses modern personal computers that rarely use more than one processor, according to the Telegram channel Economy of Armenia.
In the CIS, such high-level computing machines are only available in Russia. The new center will enable advanced research in the fields of big data, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, and other areas.
The Charles Aznavour Supercomputer Center will also train highly qualified specialists who will be able to share their experience and knowledge with other scientific and educational centers.
