The Georgian Milk Mark Federation, with the support of an international donor and the law firm J&T Consulting, is planning active communication with representatives of the retail sector. This will contribute to overcoming existing challenges, improving the market, and creating equal and fair trade conditions between supermarkets and milk processing enterprises.
The Georgian Milk Mark Federation will conduct meetings both at the association level and individually, signing memoranda of mutual cooperation to discuss and address existing problems while considering the interests of market participants. The activities of the Georgian Milk Mark Federation will be legally supported by the law firm J&T Consulting.
Since 2021, the Georgian Milk Mark Federation, with the support of an international donor, has been actively working on this issue. As part of this effort, a study of the milk sector was conducted, meetings were held with international organizations, and a report was prepared by J&T Consulting on the prospects for regulating unfair trade practices. This report considered the Georgian reality and analyzed EU directives and examples from EU countries.
The planned activities aim to facilitate direct communication between business sectors to ensure equal and fair trade conditions.
