By the end of the last year, 17 insurance companies were registered in Georgia, of which 16 are life and non-life insurance licenses and one is licensed only for non-life insurance. Insurance premium received during the year from direct insurance activities amounted to 441.4 mln GEL. Last year, the revenue of the companies was 20.3 mln GEL. The value of assets of insurance companies operating in Georgia is 580.2 mln GEL and capital makes 154 mln GEL. The incomes generated nu insurance companies annually increased by 1.5 mln GEL.
