Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Irakli Menagarishvili told BMGtv that as long as Georgian citizens openly protest the decisions of their government, Georgia's European choice is not in danger.

"As long as the Georgian people are ready to stand up to their own government's decision by taking part in a rally or in any other way, this [European] strategy of Georgia is not in danger. But, this does not mean that we should take a rest and whistle. Work, work and sometimes struggle are necessary," says Menagharishvili.

The former Minister of Foreign Affairs believes that the visa-free regime with the European Union will not be revised.

"The most important thing is that Georgia's chosen path should not deviate even a little. I deeply believe that this will not happen," he says.

Menagarishvili cannot explain why it was necessary to initiate the so-called transparency law and says that questions about this should be asked of the decision-makers.
