The Memorandum on Finalization of the Free Trade Agreement talks has been signed by Georgia and China
Starting from 2017 Georgian wine, Mineral waters, Agriculture products will enter Chinese market without taxes.
Georgia is the first country in the region to sign free trade agreement with China.
The world’s largest market with around 1.4 billion customers is now open to Georgian goods.
This is an unparalleled instance, since China enabled partner country to set zero customs tariffs for wine and agricultural products without introducing a transitional period.
Georgia has successfully finalized the free trade negotiations with china in record-breaking 7 months.
Upon the ratification of the agreement by the legislative bodies of the both countries the document will enter into force in mid-2017.
Georgia exported over 2.6 bottles of wine to China in 2015, in 2016 the amount of exported bottles is expected to be over 5 million.
