The insurance industry will be able to enjoy the so-called Estonian Model of revenue tax as from 2023.
As Lasha Khutsishvili, Deputy Minister of Finance told BM.ge, the planned Tax Code amendments have already been adopted with third hearing on the level of Parliamentary Committees, which means that the financial sector will enjoy the so-called Estonian Model of revenue tax as from 2023 instead of 2019.
“Consultations with the insurance industry which is part of financial sector, will be continued and before the end of this year final decision will be made. We are working together with the insurance business,” – stated Lasha Kutsishvili.
Talking to BM.ge, Zurab Dznelashvili, Deputy Business Ombudsman, expresses the hope that the Ministry of Finance will change its position and the insurance industry will be able to enjoy the so-called Estonian Model of revenue tax as from January 2019.
