The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia has published a report on the current labor market situation as of May 1, 2024.
According to the ministry's press service, 64.1 thousand job seekers are registered at the territorial centers of the Unified Social Service (USS).
In the regional centers of the USS, 30.8 thousand job seekers received consultations on labor legislation, professional orientation, employment programs, job changes, and other employment-related issues.
The USS actively collaborates with 18 thousand employers, resulting in the occupation of 4,461 recurring vacancies. During the reporting period, 4,406 job seekers were employed, including 2,560 women, 953 young people, and 50 people with disabilities.
Since the beginning of the year, the status of 7,665 unemployed individuals has been suspended for various reasons, the ministry's report notes.
