On Friday, May 10, during his visit to the USA, President of Armenia Vaagn Khachaturyan discussed with the Mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, the possibility of launching direct flights between Los Angeles and Yerevan.
During the meeting, as reported by the president's press service, the topic of expanding cooperation with major representatives of the IT sector in Silicon Valley and promoting their representation in Armenia was also discussed.
The parties also discussed opportunities and methods for implementing joint programs to exchange experiences for applying the best American practices in Armenia within the framework of reforms carried out in local government bodies and public infrastructure.
Earlier, Vahagn Khachaturyan also met with the Governor of California Gavin Newsom.
