The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia announced the return of property worth close to 10 billion drams (about $25 million) to state ownership.

The Prosecutor General's Office reported on its work on the confiscation of illegally acquired property. According to the official statement, the returned property includes various assets, including land plots and real estate.

Among the returned items is a land plot of over 24,000 square meters in the community of Tsakhkadzor. This plot, valued close to market price, has been designated as a "specially protected area" for recreation.

Additionally, another piece of land in the Tsakhkadzor community and a property of "special purpose" in the village of Armash in the Ararat region have been returned.

As part of the efforts to confiscate unlawfully acquired property, settlement agreements were reached with former officials. For instance, over 600 million drams (over $1.5 million) were transferred to state ownership from the former governor of Tavush.

Another settlement agreement was signed with Galust Lukash Grigoryan, under which a land plot in Yerevan, valued at 2 billion drams (about $5 million), was transferred.

It is worth noting that court decisions on all the mentioned cases have already come into legal force. The next step will be the development of a government resolution on the transfer of land plots for management and the process of transferring funds to the state budget.

Currently, according to the Prosecutor General's Office, 102 lawsuits for the confiscation of illegally acquired property totaling over 400 billion drams (about $1 billion) are pending.
