Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control, says the epidemic situation in the country is difficult and nothing can stop it from deteriorating, except for vaccinations and adherence to the rules.
Gamkrelidze also spoke about the need to wear a facemask and said that the rate of wearing facemasks has dropped to 37%.
"We often repeat that wearing a facemask is very important. It protects against the spread of infection and it is necessary to carry it, "- said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
