The Agency for Regulation of Medical and Pharmaceutical Activities is inspecting the medical institutions wishing to be involved in the COVID-19 vaccination process.
According to the Regulatory Agency, at this stage, the conditions for immunization with Pfizer vaccine have been tested in 14 medical institutions throughout Georgia. 4 institutions were refused the right to provide immunization with Pfizer vaccine, and 10 met the relevant conditions and were granted the right to provide Pfizer vaccination.
As for the AstraZeneca vaccine, 14 medical institutions were inspected, 2 medical institutions were rejected, and 12 medical institutions met the relevant conditions and were allowed to provide immunization with the Astrazeneca vaccine.
As Zaal Kapanadze, the director of the agency, explains, it will be checked whether the inpatient institution meets the conditions under which safe vaccination of the population is possible.
"The regulatory agency systematically inspects the institutions where vaccination is carried out; At the same time, as you know, the number of institutions that are involved in the immunization process is constantly expanding, and the agency controls and monitors the vaccination process in a safe and appropriate environment, "- explains Zaal Kapanadze.
