“The rope way has increased the number of Georgian visitors,” Ia Tarkhan-Mouravi, Sales and Marketing Manager of Mtatsminda Park, told BM.GE while assessing the tourist season.
According to her, the new season has already opened and the company plans to entertain customers with various large-scale events, festivals and activities throughout the season.
“The most important innovation for us is the cable car, which is an important event not only for us, but also for the city. This, of course, has increased the number of visitors. Especially the number of Georgian customers. According to our observations, Georgian customers mainly use the cable car, while foreigners use the funicular.
The opening of the cable car did not have a one-time effect, and since November, the statistics of Georgian customers have been increasing,” says Ia Tarkhan-Mouravi.
According to the sales and marketing manager of Mtatsminda Park, although they do not keep statistics on foreign customers, they have observed that the park is visited by many tourists from the Baltic countries, as well as Russian-speaking, Kazakh and Israeli tourists. In addition, the facility was recently visited by large groups of Indian tourists who were visiting as part of a closed event.
