"2022 turned out to be quite profitable for "Alta", Giorgi Zhuruli, director of e-commerce, sales and marketing of household appliances company "Alta" told bm.ge, adding that the company increased its sales with a double-digit and finished 2022 with the growth of 20%.
"Alta" claims that last year company's stores and accordingly, the number of employees also increased. The main reason for this was to work without restrictions after the pandemic.
"Today we are represented in much more regions than we were before. In terms of business, it was quite a fruitful and good year. 2022 was the first post-covid year and we worked without any restrictions. From this point of view, we had no more delays. There was a fairly growing, stable demand in the electrical equipment market, from this point of view, the last year was quite positive," said Giorgi Zhuruli.
According to him, as a result of the influx of foreigners to Georgia after the Russia-Ukraine war, it had a positive effect on the hardware industry and the share of non-resident customers in "Alta" as a whole increased.
"The demand on the market has increased, which stabilizes the exchange rate and to some extent helps to maintain this level of prices, and in the end - economic growth as well. The demand is steadily growing," Giorgi Zhuruli added.
