Ani Kvaratskhelia, the head of the Supervisory Board of the Export Development Association, said in "Business Morning" that there is an 11-12% decrease in exports this year. As Kvaratskhelia explained, wine has the biggest decrease in the agricultural sector and mineral and fresh waters, although the export of hazelnuts has increased. "The situation is the same worldwide, and the statistics are improving in the same way everywhere.

According to World Trade Organization statistics, when the pandemic began, exports to all countries, including the United States, Japan, Korea, and the United Kingdom, fell by about 30-35%. Both trades in goods and exports of services decreased. The situation is the same with us; You know that exports fell sharply in the first two quarters, making it very difficult for companies to get out of this situation, although positive trends are also being observed. The situation is improving, all over the world, as well as in terms of exports from Georgia.

Today, we have an 11-12% decrease in exports throughout the year, which is quite a large figure. The special decline is reflected in ferroalloys, nitrogen, pharmaceuticals, as well as the clothing industry. In general, the agricultural sector has shrunk the least in the world because it is a primary consumer product," Kvaratskhelia said.
