On June 11, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, James O’Brien.
Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the importance of holding the Armenia-US Strategic Dialogue meeting in Yerevan, expressing confidence that it will give new impetus to the further development and strengthening of multifaceted cooperation.
Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the importance of the consistent US support for the democratic reforms being implemented in Armenia and stressed the necessity for the effective implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level Armenia-EU-US meeting held on May 5 in Brussels.
James O’Brien expressed satisfaction with the effectiveness of the meeting and assured that the US administration will continue to support the Government of the Republic of Armenia in promoting reforms in various directions.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the issues of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the process of border delimitation based on the Alma-Ata Declaration, as well as the Armenian government’s “Crossroads of Peace” project and its principles.
