As of 2023, the value of total pension assets amounts to GEL 2.95 billion,- accoridng to the December report published by the Pension Agency.
As of the document, net earnings obtained as a result of investment activities totaled to GEL 438 million.
According to the report, the pension fund's net earnings since the day of the fund's launch (January 1, 2019) to December 2022 were 40.8%, while the real earnings(adjusted for inflation) were 2.69% over the same period.
The pension fund started buying USD from March 2022, and as of December 31, 18.8% of the investment portfolio is in USD, while 81.2% - in GEL.
According to the Pension Agency, the number of participants in the pension scheme is 1 million 361 thousand people. As of today, 2,969 persons of different categories have benefited from the cumulative pension, and the amount given to them is GEL 7,546,950.01.
