The vintage in the Racha region is finished, - according to the National Agency of Wine.
As of the document, 1570 tons of Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli grapes were processed in Ambrolauri municipality. About 1300 winegrowers handed over grapes to wine enterprises and received an income of GEL 11 million.
This year, about 60 private companies were registered at the vintage coordination HQ in Ambrolauri, which bought grapes from the local population.
According to the decision of the Government of Georgia, the subsidy program was also implemented in the Racha region.
All companies that purchased and processed at least 3 tons of Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli grapes grown in the micro-zone of Khvanchkara, and paid the grower at least 7 GEL received a subsidy. The companies received GEL 4 per kg of Aleksandrouli and 1 kg of Mujuretuli as a state subsidy.
