The volume of loans issued by commercial banks (excluding interbank loans) in June 2025 increased by 1.57 billion GEL or by 2.42% compared to the previous month (exchange rate effect excluded, increased by 2.09%) and constituted 66.24 billion GEL by the end of June 2025, - according to the report published by the National Bank of Georgia (NBG).
The YoY growth rate of loans, excluding exchange rate effect, was 15.58%. The volume of loans in national currency increased by 754.29 milion GEL (2.04%) and the volume of loans in foreign currency increased by 813.56 milion GEL or by 2.93% in the same period (exchange rate effect excluded, increased by 2.16%).
By the end of June 2025, the total volume of national currency denominated loans to resident legal entities issued by commercial banks amounted to 10.90 billion GEL (2.60% more compared to the previous month), and foreign currency denominated loans constituted 19.10 billion GEL (3.37% more; exchange rate effect excluded volume of lending in foreign currency increased by 2.65 %).
During June 2025, the volume of lending to resident household sector increased by 1.75% or 584.47 milion GEL, and constituted 33.89 billion GEL by the end of June 2025.
Larization ratio for total loans constituted 56.92% by the end of June 2025 and decreased by 0.214 percentage point (exchange rate effect excluded, decreased by 0.03 percentage point), compared to the end of May 2025.
