Tamta Aivazishvili, the founder of "Tamta's Tours", talks to BM.GE about the current tourist season and says that in the busiest period, she actually has no workload.

The founder of the tours notes that the crisis in the tourism sector deepened after the rallies held against the "Russian law", and bookings were canceled during this period.

"I mainly work for European, American and Canadian tourists. From the beginning, I categorically refused to host Russian tourists, to which I received negative feedback from those around me.

The situation in terms of tourist flows is quite bad. During the protests against the "Russian law", several tours were canceled.

When I travel to Europe, unfortunately, they still think that we are part of Russia, they are surprised that we have our language and script. After the tours, my guests try their best to spread information about us. I had many famous bloggers who wrote articles about us", said Aivazishvili.

According to him, the chaotic and unstable situation is unfavorable for the tourism sector. However, as she says, if nothing else happens, she expects positive changes in September.

"Tamta's Tours" has been operating in the market since 2017 and offers customers group tours throughout Georgia.
