Next week, in Tsnori, near Sighagi, construction of tklapi (pureed fruit roll-up) and chiri (dried fruit) factory will start, as BM.ge was informed by Vakhtang Kajrishvili, founder of Badagi+ Company. according to him, construction of the factory will be completed in a year’s time and the factory will start production.
Chiri and tklapi will be made of local fruits, bought from population and farmers. During the high season, the factory will be capable of processing up to 5 tons of fruit daily. At the beginning, tklapi and chiri will be made of five varieties of fruit: apple, pear, peach, plum and fig.
St the beginning, the produce will be sold on the local market. Its selling price (per kilo) for both tklapi and chiri will be between 15 and 18 GEL. in future, the produce will be exported.
“We started producing tklapi, because there is quite a big demand for this product, however, it is provided to the market in small amounts and poor quality. There is no tklapi manufacturing in Georgia, that is why I decided to build this factory,” – states Vakhtang Kajrishvili.
900 thousand GEL will be invested in construction of the factory, 40% of which amount is financed within the framework of the subsidized agro-loan of the Ministry of Agriculture.
