U.S. Ambassador to Georgia, Kelly Degnan declares that Georgia has scored well on a number of business indexes, but to attract good investors, Georgia needs more than just ranking. Kelly Degnan declared that at the founding ceremony of Catapult Georgia, the first Silicon Valley venture capital fund in the country.
“You need more than just ranking on the business indexes, investors must see that their contracts and business agreements are appealed in a timely manner. The Government of Georgia should be conducive to the business investments”, Kelly Degnan said.
U.S. Ambassador to Georgia notes that she welcomes California-based Catapult VC venture fund to invest in Georgia’s innovative startups with a portfolio of USD 50 MLN.
The US-based fund has been involved in technology investments for the past 15 years, with over $220 million invested in more than 100 companies.
