Toba Eco Village in Martvili is expanding its infrastructure to accommodate growing tourist demand. According to co-founder Aza Nachkebia, a new traditional Oda house is under construction and is expected to open within the next month. The new space will accommodate up to six guests and feature all essential amenities.
The eco-village has seen strong demand since May, with most bookings for June, July, and August already filled. Nachkebia said the expansion was necessary as the existing 15-bed facility could no longer meet the increasing number of visitors and tour groups.
Foreign tourists make up the majority of guests, particularly travelers from Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, and the Baltic countries. Hiking, horseback riding, and adventure tours remain among the most popular activities offered by the eco-village.
In addition to accommodation, Toba Eco Village provides jeep tours, authentic Megrelian cuisine, and culinary masterclasses. Nachkebia noted that many visitors discover the destination through positive online reviews, while the nearby Toba-Oniore natural monument complex continues to attract both local and international travelers.
