The Union of Banks of Armenia has released a report on the performance of the banking sector for 2024, highlighting significant growth across all key indicators.
According to the published data, the total capital of Armenia’s banking system increased by $754 million (20%), reaching $4.47 billion. The total assets of banks grew by $4.62 billion (20%), amounting to $27.7 billion.
During the reporting period, loan investments rose by $3.15 billion (25%), reaching $15.77 billion. Liabilities to clients increased by $2.31 billion (17%), totaling $16.16 billion.
It was also reported that the banking system’s profit for 2024 amounted to $912 million, a 49% increase compared to the previous year.
