The tourism sector needs support from the government so that we resume the pace we have had before - Nika Manjgaladze, CEO of Travel Shop told The Checkpoints while commenting on the agenda that the business community and citizens might have for the new parliament after the elections.

According to Manjgaladze, regulations should be kept at its minimum and the new government has to come up with the idea of how to recover the economy. “The support packages granted to the tourism industry were below the minimal – Manjgaladze said – But we thank the state for its support through tax holidays; however, if the economy does not recover – how shall we pay later?”

According to Manjgaladze, the tourism industry was the one that contributed the most to the country’s GDP. “We should have a chance to proceed like that” – Manjgaladze added.
