In Georgia, New Year's events last from the end of December to January 14. Until then, the streets of all big cities are festive.
In the middle of December, on Rustaveli Avenue, in front of the parliament building, the country's main Christmas tree is ceremonially lit, and this show continues with an open-air concert.
"Christmas Villages" are being organized in different places in the capital city of Tbilisi: on Vardebi Square, Orbeliani Square, April 9 Garden, Rustaveli Avenue, Dry Bridge area and Deda Enis Bagi, which is definitely included in the list of important sights for tourists.
The founder of "Art Travel", says that the country is traditionally visited by neighboring countries during the New Year period, but this year especially German tourists got active to visit Tbilisi Christmas markets.
"There is quite an active demand to visit Tbilisi's Christmas markets, Tbilisi stands beside such advanced cities as Vienna and Prague.
Mainly, as every year, we are visited by neighboring countries, and it is especially noteworthy that this year Germany leads the list. Germans are very interested in Tbilisi decorated for Christmas and plan to spend the New Year period with us," says Anastasia Gabunia
