Toyota Motor has temporarily halted production at its six plants following an explosion at the factory of parts supplier Chuo Spring Co.
It was reported that the explosion in Aichi province, which injured two male workers, damaged the drying ovens in the facility.
According to the Japanese manufacturer Toyota, due to the parts supply shortage after the explosion, 10 production lines in six factories in Japan were temporarily stopped.
In a statement, it said it is not yet clear when the production lines will be restarted during the week.
The affected production lines reportedly belong to Toyota's Land Cruiser and RAV4 models, AA reports.
