Travel Collection Georgia Helps Tourism Businesses Boost Online Sales - Tamar Tandashvili

სს

Travel Collection Georgia is a new innovative business model designed to support tourism businesses in Georgia and accelerate their digital transformation. The platform was created through a partnership between Mercy Corps’ “Safe Online” program and tech company TNET.

According to Tamar Tandashvili, Head of Innovation and Business Development at Mercy Corps’ Safe Online program, the initiative aims to strengthen small and medium-sized tourism businesses, integrate them into e-commerce, and offer users curated, safe, and combined travel experiences.

Around 80 tourism businesses have been selected from more than 250 applicants and are being integrated into a dedicated Travel Collection section on tkt.ge. The platform includes hotels, tours, wine experiences, and multi-day travel packages, positioning tourism as a complete experience rather than isolated services.

Tandashvili says the program helps businesses reduce marketing costs, receive expert consulting support, and access financial assistance in its early stages. She adds that the goal is to help local operators adapt their products for online sales while ensuring a safer and more structured experience for travelers.
