Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze talks about the introduction of an integrated system in public transport and says that the fare will not increase. According to Kaladze, if travel fee was increased, he would not avoid to say it directly.
"As soon as I made the first statement about the new approaches to payment in public transport, they immediately started to talk about the tariff increase. Travel fees will not be increased. I have such communication with the population to say it directly. It may have been a difficult decision, but I would say it directly, that tariffs are increasing, but it is not so”, Kaladze told TV-Imedi.
The mayor of Tbilisi noted that the benefits that have been in place so far will work within the integrated system.
Earlier this week, Kakha Kaladze said that a one-day pass will cost 3 GEL, one-week - 20 GEL, one-month - 40 GEL, three-month -100 GEL and one-year card - 250 GEL.
