Tsitsila, a chicken-focused fast-food chain, saw sales increase by around 30% during the summer, despite a decline in in-store customers as many residents left Tbilisi for the season. Founder Rati Tsvetava said the drop was offset by stronger delivery demand.
He noted that fast-food businesses differ from traditional restaurants, as Tsitsila relies heavily on delivery services and serves many office and financial-sector employees. As a result, the seasonal decline in in-store traffic had a limited impact on overall sales.
The Kostava and Aghmashenebeli branches, both located in tourist areas, recorded fewer in-person customers due to both residents leaving the city and changes in tourist flows. Nevertheless, Tsvetava said the company had a strong summer, with delivery helping drive overall sales growth.
Tsitsila entered the Tbilisi market in 2024 and specializes exclusively in chicken-based fast food, including sandwiches and lunch boxes. It now operates three branches, with the latest opened on Mirian Mepe Avenue, while also developing a centralized production facility for meat processing, sauces and bread.
