"Tskaltubo is completely seasonal. June-September has a good workload. There are days when there are no more rooms for rent in the hotel. From the end of October to the second season, demand reduces. The occupancy rate of our hotel is 80% during the season. Vacationers from Arab countries predominate among tourists. Tskaltubo hotels are mainly booked by travel companies, we do not have bookings from individual sites such as booking.com. Locals are among the tourists.
Tskaltubo has great potential in terms of tourism. The niche of this side is treatment-spa destinations. I think Tskaltubo renovation program will revive the place, it will create a center of attraction. Unfortunately, awareness is less at the moment," he says.
3 million GEL was invested for the opening of Prometheus Epic Hotel & Spa in Tskaltubo. The hotel combines a 26-room hotel, a wine museum, a restaurant, two types of pools and a jacuzzi, as well as a sauna. The complex employs 60 people in the region.
