Within the frameworks of the government programme to “Support Dairy Production Agriculture Cooperatives”, international food safety standards have been established in two additional active cooperatives. The agricultural cooperative “The Mountain Taste” and “Support” are based in the municipalities of Adigeni and Gardabani. They received a certificate of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) with the co-financing of “restoring efficiency of Georgian agricultural production” project (USAID). The agriculture cooperatives “The Mountain Taste” and “Support” have been involved in Supporting the dairy producer agricultural cooperatives programme since 2016, within the frameworks of which, milk processing enterprises were established in the villages of Zanava (Adigeni Municipality) and of Kumisi (Gardabani municipality). The agricultural cooperatives have an opportunity to produce safe and traceable product making them more competitive as a result.
