As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, two persons were exposed on the facts of commercial bribery, negligence and manufacturing and selling forged document.
Investigation determined that one of the accused person, who worked at a medical institution located in Samegrelo region, in order to receive personal illegal material benefits, issued forged certificates regarding drug testing to the interested persons without them undergoing the required procedures. And the second accused person, in turn, showed negligence in the performance of his official duties and did not exercise appropriate control over the issuance of documents.
Investigation is underway under the Articles 2201, 221 and 362 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisage imprisonment from 2 to 4 years.
