The Municipal Development Fund has signed an agreement with a winning company to begin the design of a new UEFA Category III-compliant stadium in Bolnisi, the Ministry of Infrastructure announced. The project’s design phase is set to last eight months.
The new natural-grass stadium will have a capacity of 4,500 spectators and will be built to accommodate both football and rugby matches, in line with international standards.
Plans include full supporting infrastructure such as locker rooms for teams and referees, showers, medical and conference spaces, a media center, and commercial areas.
The stadium will also feature parking adapted for people with disabilities, along with modern irrigation, security, lighting, and audiovisual broadcasting systems.
