In 2024, almost a third of the USD 1 billion 333 million in foreign direct investments in Georgia came from the United Kingdom. Last year, investments from the UK increased by 23% year-on-year, amounting to USD 448 million.
According to Geostat, the United Kingdom ranks first among the investor countries. A large part of the direct investments from the United Kingdom were made in the financial and insurance sector. BM.GE requested information from Geostat in which sectors and companies' investments from the United Kingdom were made last year.
