Ukraine and Georgia have agreed to strengthen cooperation as part of the Euro-Asian Oil Transportation Corridor project, Ukrinform reports, referring to the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy.

"In the context of Russian blackmail on the gas market, it is very important to diversify energy supplies. Together with Georgia, Poland and Azerbaijan, we will study possibilities of increasing the load on our country's oil transport infrastructure and explore the prospects of LNG projects," said Deputy Minister of Energy Yaroslav Demchenkov.

In addition, the countries agreed to share experiences in reforming energy markets, creating hydrogen energy and strengthening cybersecurity of critical infrastructure in the energy sector. Ukraine and Georgia are planning to establish cooperation between companies, electricity operators, energy engineers, scientists, and startups in order to launch and implement joint projects.

As reported, on October 13, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said during an online briefing that the Foreign Ministry proposed holding a meeting of the Associated Trio of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova with the European Union soon to discuss further trade liberalization and the digital transition of the European Union.
