Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky bought domestic government bonds worth UAH 2.774 million (US$102,003), according to his asset declaration on significant changes in property status published in the register of electronic declarations on the website of Ukraine's National Agency on Corruption Prevention, UKRINFORM reports.
According to the released data, Zelensky bought 100 bonds on June 3. The nominal value of securities on the date of acquisition was UAH 27,345 (US$1, 006) for a bond.
According to another report posted on the website of Ukraine's National Agency on Corruption Prevention, on June 3, Zelensky received income from the repayment of domestic government bonds in the amount of UAH 2.781 million (US$ 102,261).
In 2020, President Volodymyr Zelensky received UAH 336,000 (US$12,355) as his salary, UAH 4.6 million (US$170, 000) in royalties and UAH 13.4 million (US$493, 000) from the sale of a house and a land plot. At the same time, the press service of the President's Office informed that the family of Zelensky paid UAH 1,800,000 (US$66, 200) in taxes to the budget in 2020.
