Up to 20,000 Ukrainians are in Georgia - Ukraine's Interim Representative

Interim Representative of Ukraine in Georgia declares, that there are about 20,000 Ukrainians in the country, who need help due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Andrei Kasyanov thanked the Georgian government for its support of the internally displaced Ukrainians and said that work in this direction continues.

"20,000 Ukrainians are in Georgia at the moment. This number is growing daily. The Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia is working closely with the Government of Georgia to ensure that assistance and support to Ukrainians is systematic.

58 children have already joined the schools. In addition, parents of over 50 children have already applied for enrollment in the schools and kindergartens. In the near future, we will visit these schools and talk to these children, their parents and school leaders.

My thanks to the Georgian side for such support," Kasyanov said.

He asked Georgia citizens to share stories about the help of the Ukrainian people and thanked each person for their assistance.
