A 348-room multifunctional complex is under construction in Ganmukhuri, Samegrelo, with investment already exceeding USD 20 million. The project is set to open this summer, and from 2027 the hotel is expected to operate under an international brand. The investor is Lazika Residence LLC, while the complex will be managed by the Strategic Hotel Management Group.
According to the group’s founder, Maiko Murachashvili, the project is strategically linked to the construction of the Anaklia Port and targets both leisure travelers and professionals involved in the port’s development. The complex will include 500–1000 square meters of conference and exhibition facilities, positioning the region as a key hub for business tourism.
Murachashvili notes that the region currently has no comparable high-class development, meaning the new complex will likely stimulate local economic growth, boost small businesses, and accelerate infrastructure upgrades. Such large-scale investments often trigger a broader chain reaction of regional development.
Addressing concerns about investing in an area with low tourist activity, she highlights Anaklia’s strategic advantages, its prime seafront location, peaceful environment, and premium services. She adds that bringing an international hotel brand to Ganmukhuri will significantly speed up the area’s transformation into a world-class coastal destination.
